PLAY ASSESSMENTS
Each member of the Playwrights Association of New Zealand is entitled to have either two one-act plays or one full-length play assessed annually. Please note a small fee may apply for this.
Each assessment will provide constructive comments from at least one experienced playwright. This practical feedback will assist the member to further develop their play.
The length of time to assess each play will depend on the overall demand for play assessments and the time of year that plays are received. As a general rule of thumb, applicants will receive an assessment of their play within two months of submission.
Whilst every care will be exercised with manuscripts, no responsibility for loss or damage can be accepted by the Association. It is recommended that playwrights always keep a copy of their scripts as a safeguard against loss.
NB Scripts for assessment must be accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope for the return of the MS.
